The Oneida County Planning & Development Committee on July 8 approved a Conditional Use Permit for Nathan Waterhouse (applicant/owner) and Jacob Schultz (owner) to operate a manufactured and modular home dealership on parcels described as the NW NE and part of the NE NE, Section 10, T37N, R6E (parcels CA-141 and CA-142) in the Town of Cassian.
Planning staff explained that a certified survey map combining the two parcels (CA-141 and CA-142) must be recorded prior to issuance of zoning permits. Staff also recommended that proper permits be obtained before construction (town/county/state), that WDNR stormwater and erosion permits be secured for land disturbance greater than one acre (additional wetland permits may be required), and that signage, parking, screened dumpsters and downcast lighting conform to county ordinance. Staff recommended hours of operation Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. and required applicants to notify the department if outdoor displays moved beyond designated areas.
The public portion of the hearing produced no speakers. After brief committee discussion with staff and the applicant, Billy Fried moved and Dan Hess seconded approval of the CUP with the ten conditions; the motion carried with all members voting Aye.
