Commissioners discussed disrepair of a glass-covered bulletin board on the exterior of Charles Washington Hall and directed staff to follow up on repairs.
The Chair said the bulletin board
ppeared damaged and that people were posting materials inside it. "It's kinda got glass where it's bridal, and people are putting up whatever the posters and stuff they want," the Chair said, noting the board is visible from outside the building.
A staff member said maintenance had previously discussed replacing or redoing the board because the latch and dry (sic) keep breaking, and said the project was on their list. "I think they were talking about completely redoing it," the staff member said.
Why it matters: the bulletin board is a public-facing facility used for official notices and community postings. Commissioners agreed staff should investigate and return with recommended repairs or replacement timing.
What’s next: staff will follow up on repair options and report back at a future meeting.
