Residents press city on traffic safety, right‑of‑way maintenance and criticize officials during public comment

Right‑of‑way maintenance: Julie Ferreira presented photos showing herbicide spraying and tree‑work near utility poles adjacent to her property and asked why similar work did not occur on neighboring blocks; she asked staff to explain and follow up. Community services: Paul Lohrey praised police and fire efforts on veteran suicide response and noted local peer‑to‑peer programs at the high school; he thanked staff for support of trainings and first responders.

Criticism of officials and policy debate: Michael (Mike) Sharp used his time to sharply criticize a commissioner’s conduct, recall efforts and past litigation costs, and raised the paid‑parking debate as a potential revenue source for projects. Sharp said, “What a pathetic job I think you're doing as a city commissioner,” and urged the commission to avoid placing funding burdens on residents.
