Marshall County approves 2027 COLA of 2% plus $0.54 and accelerates vacation accrual

The Marshall County Board of Commissioners approved changes to county employee pay and leave schedules on July 21 after a presentation from the Employee Benefits Committee. Committee members Katie Benson, Ryan Larson and Calvin Benson presented survey results used to plan 2027 benefits; the Board approved a county COLA of 2% plus $0.54 on wages for 2027 and adjusted the vacation accrual schedule to allow employees to receive an additional vacation step one year earlier. The committee will return to the Board with health insurance recommendations once new premium rates are known.
