Culbertson council reestablishes mill levies totaling 36.8 mills

At its Aug. 1 meeting the Culbertson Town Council reestablished local property-tax mill levies for the coming period. The council set the levies at: General fund 16 mills; Street fund 5 mills; Sewer Improvement Bonds 4.7 mills; Water Improvement Bonds (1964) 7.6 mills; Airport fund 2 mills; Library fund 1.5 mills — a reported total of 36.8 mills.

Clerk records show the levies were accepted by motion of Alderman Traeger and seconded by Alex Damm; the minutes list the set of mill rates and direct the clerk to issue related tax and budget paperwork. The council also instructed the clerk to issue a building permit to Parrish Construction Company for Post Office construction the same day.
