Comstock board approves Clean Earth septic service, hears election and mutual‑aid notices

The board approved a Clean Earth service agreement to maintain a shared septic connection serving the township hall; the recurring service was priced at $550 and scheduled every four months or as needed to prevent backups while staff work with Attorney Thall on a formal maintenance agreement for the shared line.

Moderator (S1) said installing an independent sewer connection to the township hall could cost roughly $70,000 to $100,000 and described the Clean Earth service as an interim maintenance measure. A staff speaker (S14) noted the service contract's section references and recommended amending a cross‑reference in paragraph 19 from section 6 to section 7 if the board approved the contract.
