Jim Boyken reported that Hardin County Water District No. 1 will begin work on Highway 361 within the next week. Trevor Mather, representing Hardin County Water District No. 2, told the committee the district has installed 94% of the pipe at the music venue and that Franklin Crossroads work is complete.
Judge/Executive Keith Taul announced that cardiac monitors will be discussed at upcoming Emergency Services and Finance committee meetings. Taul also said the county should allow more time and study before installing rumble strips on Colesburg Road; after discussion the committee agreed to expedite the study and to consider a resolution on the matter at the August Public Works Committee meeting.
No votes were taken on either the water projects or the safety initiatives during the Public Works meeting; updates and study directions were the actions recorded.
