Planning commission names Robert Wack chair for the meeting; commissioners and staff introduce themselves

The commission held an impromptu election for chair at the start of the meeting after the regular acting chair was absent. A commissioner nominated Robert Wack "— he used to be council president" — and Wack accepted the nomination. The commission voted to make him chair for the meeting.

Robert Wack, acting as chair for the evening, called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. and asked attendees to introduce themselves. Commissioners and staff introduced themselves, including Commissioner Dan Hoff; Andrea Gerhard, senior planner who presented the site development staff report; Meredith McKinnon, counsel for the board; Doug Barber, city clerk; and Mark Tifa, director of community planning and development. The meeting proceeded to old business after introductions.
