Residents raise drainage and right-of-way concerns; town attorney affirms right-of-way

Two residents raised property concerns at the Town of Jackson trustees' July 13 meeting and received responses from town officials.

Resident Helen Rollins described a drainage issue affecting her property. Mayor Coleman said he had attempted to contact two engineers to examine the drainage problem and told Mrs. Rollins he would inform her when he hears from them.

In a separate item, Dianne Wilson questioned a right-of-way. Attorney Andy Daquilla addressed the board and stated on the record that "Mrs. Wilson does possess the right of way in question," providing an immediate legal clarification for the resident's concern.

During the public-comment segment, Trustees Jim Parker, Rafe Stewart and Don Havard publicly thanked Mayor Coleman for his service. Mayor Coleman said he had enjoyed his time as mayor.
