Granville board audits and approves $78,577.69 in claims; approves year-end transfers and CHIPS update

The Village of Granville Board audited and authorized payment of claims totaling $78,577.69 at its July 6 meeting. The approved claims were: General Fund $43,213.17; Sewer Fund $20,174.13; Water Fund $13,671.11; Senior Shuttle $869.28; and unaudited vouchers $650.00. Trustee Paul Garrone moved to approve payment of the claims; Trustee Heather Leaman seconded and the board approved unanimously.

Clerk-Treasurer Richard H. Roberts circulated multiple year-end budget transfers to address payroll and retirement accruals for 2025–26. Notable 2025–26 adjustments included increases to Police personnel service and retirement accounts, and offsetting reductions in municipal equipment and health insurance lines to cure shortfalls. The board also approved a single 2026–27 transfer to reflect updated CHIPS (Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program) funding: an increase of $4,812 to CHIPS revenue and a $4,811 appropriation to street paving, with a $1 rounding adjustment to Workers Compensation.
