Beach Haven Borough Council approved its consent agenda July 13, authorizing a set of routine resolutions and contractual actions.
The clerk read multiple consent items into the record, including returning street opening bonds; a shared-service agreement with Surf City for court recording support; an adjustment to the assistant zoning officer’s salary; refunds for purchases of 95-gallon garbage and recycling cans; release of remaining escrow and performance bonds/inspection fees; and awarding a contract to Kelly Builders and developers for the 2026 exterior renovation of the Beach Haven Public Library.
The council also approved a change order to a previously approved playground expenditure (resolution number 70), increasing the project by $8,196.72 to add sidewalks to the Together We Play Nelson Avenue all-inclusive playground (the earlier approved expenditure recorded in the transcript was $788,925.79). A tent permit was granted to Little a Carver Yacht Club for a Mordecai Island Land Trust fundraiser. The consent agenda passed on a motion and second, with unanimous affirmative votes.
Council then approved the bill list totaling $1,198,959.14 on a separate motion; that measure also passed unanimously.
Announcements made during final remarks included a movie in the park at Veterans Park on July 23, thanks to Recreation Director Jen Zillow and public-safety volunteers for July 4 coverage, and promotion of the Mordecai Island Land Trust Bay Bash fundraiser.
No members of the public offered comment during the public comment period.
