Board approves ball-field bid, authorizes stadium design and advertises roofing/stadium repairs

The St. John the Baptist Parish School Board approved multiple facilities procurements and design authorizations at its March 10 meeting.

Ms. Cindy Janecke presented several items from the Facilities/Construction list. The Board approved the low bidder Luster Group for West St. John High School ball fields at a total cost of $99,500. Items for West St. John fencing and East St. John dugouts/fieldhouse/baseball fields were withdrawn by the presenter. The Board voted to advertise for bids for East St. John High School roofing repairs and for Joe Keller Stadium repairs.

Separately, the Board authorized Meyers Engineers to develop design specifications for the West St. John High School football stadium (Rudolph G. Dinvaut Stadium). Votes on the motion to approve the ball-field bid and to authorize Meyers Engineers were recorded in the minutes and carried with a majority of members present.

Board members asked administration to follow procurement policy and ensure transparent documentation of bid processes.
