St. John the Baptist Parish School Board approves revised 2023-24 budget, 2024-25 proposed budget and salary schedule

Reserve, La. ' The St. John the Baptist Parish School Board voted on June 20 to approve both a revised fiscal-year 2023-24 budget and the proposed budget for 2024-25, and to adopt the district's 2024-25 salary schedule.

With Chief Financial Officer Brian Coogan absent, Accounting Supervisor Brian Coogan presented the budget items. Board member Triche moved and Schum seconded to approve the 2023-24 revised budget; the minutes record the motion carried with nine yeas and one nay (Burl) where recorded. The board then approved the 2024-25 proposed Comprehensive General and Special Revenue Budget on a similar vote.
