Dunn County Airport Authority approves invoices, hears taxiway construction timeline

Chairman Mike Schollmeyer called the Dunn County Airport Authority to order on July 13, 2026. The board approved the agenda and minutes, accepted the financial report and approved two vendor payments before hearing an update on the taxiway construction timeline.

The board approved payment of a Bolton & Menk invoice for $3,195.00 related to taxiway construction work reported at 2.5% completion after a motion from Craig Pelton and a second from Tracey Dolezal; a roll-call vote recorded all members voting aye. The board also approved payment to Farmers Union Insurance for an NDIRF premium after a motion from Tracey Dolezal and a second from Gregg Synnes; the motion was recorded as $12,886.00 and carried by unanimous roll-call vote. Nick Grahek of Bolton & Menk reviewed the taxiway project schedule, saying the contractor plans to start at the end of July and that the work is estimated to require about 51 working days to complete. Grahek said Chairman Mike Schollmeyer and board member Gregg Synnes will attend the NDAC CIP review meeting in Bismarck with Bolton & Menk on July 23 to discuss the project in that forum.

Logan Lynch presented the financial report, which the board accepted. Members reviewed the draft 2027 budget; no formal adoption or vote on the budget was recorded in the transcript. The authority set its next meeting for Monday, Aug. 10 at 6:00 p.m. and then adjourned following a motion by Gregg Synnes and a second from Brent Woodworth.

The meeting record shows routine approvals that release funds for ongoing taxiway work and insurance coverage, and a project timeline that, if met, would move construction through late summer.
