Doniphan-Trumbull Board approves literacy screener, textbooks and new scoreboards

The Doniphan-Trumbull Board of Education approved three procurement items at its July 13, 2026 regular meeting: a required literacy screening purchase, new science instructional materials and a five-year lease-purchase for gym scoreboards.

The Board authorized the purchase of DIBELS 8th Edition from Amplify for student literacy screening to comply with state-required changes, at a cost of $22,461.96. The motion was made by Steph Roach and seconded by Beau Toben and carried on a recorded unanimous vote.

The Board also approved physical science textbooks, associated digital subscriptions and a teacher resource book from Savvas Learning Company for $6,135. The motion was made by Douglas Rader, seconded by John Schultz, and passed unanimously.

The Board approved a governmental lease-purchase agreement with Huntington National Bank to acquire updated scoreboards from Crouch Recreation on a five-year lease. John Schultz moved the motion, seconded by Zach VanDiest; the motion passed with one recorded Nay from Beau Toben and all other members voting yea.
