Zeeland Elections Commission approves two early-voting workers for Aug. 4 primary

The Zeeland Elections Commission approved two additional early-voting precinct workers for the Aug. 4, 2026 primary and formally approved its July 6, 2026 meeting minutes during a special session held July 14 at Zeeland City Hall.

Mayor VanDorp moved to approve the minutes from July 6, 2026; City Clerk Kristi DeVerney seconded the motion. The commission recorded ayes from VanDorp and DeVerney, with Attorney Donkersloot listed as absent, and the motion carried.

The commission then reviewed the list of additional election workers proposed for the upcoming primary. The body approved Andrew Wright and Debra Wright as precinct workers designated for early voting only. Mayor VanDorp made the motion to approve the workers and City Clerk DeVerney supported it; the motion carried with all voting aye.

There were no other items on the agenda. Mayor VanDorp moved to adjourn and DeVerney seconded; the meeting was adjourned at 2:10 p.m. The minutes were signed and filed by Kristi DeVerney, City Clerk.
