Board withdraws parole arrest authorization, orders release of Brett Gallups

The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles voted on July 14, 2026 to withdraw a Parole Officer Authorization of Arrest issued for Brett Gallups, AIS#326197, and ordered the inmate released from Jefferson County Jail. The action was taken after the Division Director advised the Board that Gallups’ expiration of sentence occurred on June 19, 2026. The Board’s written Board Order documents the vote and directs the withdrawal of the authorization.

The action was recorded in the Board’s minutes and official Board Order. The meeting was an open public session convened under Alabama Code, Title 15, Chapter 22, and was chaired by Hal Nash. The Board Secretary recorded the action and was directed to provide service copies as required by law.
