The Trumbull Legislation & Administration Committee on July 8 unanimously approved two alternate appointments to town boards.
The committee approved Resolution TC31-50 to appoint James Lucas of 35 Arden Road as an alternate member of the Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Commission for a term extending to the first Monday of December 2028. The motion was moved by Councilman Carl Massaro and seconded by Tony Dorsey, and it passed by unanimous consent. Lucas indicated he is a Democrat and described his background working in agricultural commodities trading and his prior service on the Wilton Inland Wetlands Commission, the Wilton Parks Commission, and six years on the Inland Waterways Users Board, an advisory commission to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He expressed his willingness to serve.
The committee also approved Resolution TC31-51 to appoint Christopher DeCruze of 52 Ascolese Road as an alternate member of the Board of Finance for a term extending to the first Monday of December 2027. The motion was moved by Mary Isaac and seconded by Tony Dorsey; it passed by unanimous consent. DeCruze identified himself as a Republican and summarized qualifications that included prior service as a town council member and experience managing IT and security operations with a multi‑million‑dollar budget at a technology firm.
Both appointments were approved by unanimous consent during the meeting. There were no recorded roll-call tallies attached to the motions in the minutes.
