Horicon Plan Commission approves 60-foot monopole extension at 125 Clinton Street

The City of Horicon Plan Commission on July 13 voted unanimously to approve a conditional use permit allowing a 60-foot monopole extension at 125 Clinton Street, raising the structure to a final height of 195 feet above ground level.

The motion to approve the permit was made by Biedermann and seconded by H. Vanderhei. Mayor Josh Maas opened and then closed the public hearing on the application; no public testimony is recorded in the meeting minutes.

The approved work includes relocating the equipment platform from approximately 130 feet AGL to approximately 195 feet AGL, adding a lightning rod, installing three new antennas and hybrid cabling, removing three existing radios and three existing antennas, replacing a junction box, and relocating six existing antennas onto the relocated platform. The property is in an I-1 Limited Industrial District, and the commission recorded the action as an approval by voice vote.

The decision follows the commission's standard procedural review; no opposing motions or recorded objections appear in the minutes. The permit approval was recorded as a voice vote with all members present voting in favor.

The Plan Commission took no additional formal conditions or amendments at the meeting. The commission adjourned at 6:13 p.m.
