Sterling commission advances Farm to Table planning, targets Sept. 19 or 26 and seeks caterer

The Sterling Agricultural Commission moved forward with planning for a Farm to Table event during its June 9 special meeting, discussing vendor options, tentative dates and near-term preparation tasks.

Katie Patton, a commission member, said she had reached out to Chris Kelley to arrange meat preparation but that he is unavailable. The minutes record that brisket was the preferred meat choice depending on outside assistance. Patton provided contact information for Family Tradition BBQ; Rebecca Gervais said she will contact that vendor. The Commission discussed two potential dates, Sept. 19 and Sept. 26, and emphasized that time is of the essence to secure a cook.
