Pomerene School Governing Board members adopted the district's FY2027 budget and approved multiple agreements and policy items at a public hearing and regular meeting on July 13, 2026, at the Pomerene School District Library.
Following a public hearing on the proposed budget, Governing Board member Lianna Contreras moved to adopt the FY2027 budget; Janelle Blaschke seconded the motion, which passed 4-0 with Contreras, Don Fenn, Danna Judd and Blaschke recorded as voting aye.
The board also approved a package of routine business and action items, each by recorded vote. On motions by Lianna Contreras and seconds from either Don Fenn or Janelle Blaschke, members approved updated special-education (SPED) policies for FY27; an engagement letter with Advisent for the FY26 audit; an agreement with Blueprintr Technologies; an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with ASDB; an addendum to the maintenance contract for Roland Hinton; an IGA with Beyond Textbooks; and district classroom and SPED caps. Most votes were recorded 4-0.
Consent business approved earlier in the meeting included minutes from June 22, 2026; ratification of payroll and expense vouchers (referenced as Memo #2); and personnel items. The consent agenda was approved on a motion by Contreras and seconded by Don Fenn.
The minutes note a Student Council activities balance of $2,199.13 under information items. The board set its next meeting for Aug. 10, 2026, at 6:15 p.m. in the district library and adjourned at 6:52 p.m.; the adjournment motion passed 3-0 after Lianna Contreras left the meeting.
