Wrestling team seeks mascot change; Allison resident offers little-league improvements

Two members of the public used the July 15 North Butler Community School District board meeting public-comment period to raise community-focused requests.

Adam Holm, identified on the meeting agenda as representing the wrestling team, asked the board to change the wrestling mascot to the Wolves. The minutes record Holm’s request but do not show a board decision on the item; no motion or vote to change the mascot is recorded.

Craig Codner addressed the board asking for fencing and parking improvements at the Allison little-league field and said the proposed updates would impose no costs on the school. The minutes note the request but record no formal action or commitment by the board at this meeting.

Both items were raised during the public-comment portion of the agenda; neither was placed on the meeting agenda as an actionable item requiring board vote at the July 15 session. Follow-up would require placement on a future agenda if the board wishes to consider formal action.
