Wyandotte Creek GSA staff described a request for proposals (RFP) to secure a consultant for ongoing Sigma implementation support — work that includes annual reporting, periodic evaluation, monitoring and project coordination previously supported by county staff under Sigma funding.
Dylan (program manager) said the RFP is published and the due date for proposals is July 31. He told the board the intent is to select a primary consultant (who will use subconsultants as needed) and complete interviews before the August board meeting so a contract could be in place in August. "We're looking for a really ... strong project management aspect ... and a technical expert," Dylan said, describing the combination of project management and groundwater technical expertise the selection team will seek.
Board members debated whether a board member should sit on the interview panel or whether the management committee and ad hoc group should handle interviews. The board discussed availability for interview dates (interviews likely the week of Aug. 10) and selected board member Kyle to participate/serve for the interview process. Staff indicated management committee and ad hoc members will continue to play a central role in evaluation and scoring.
The discussion was informational; no contract award occurred at the meeting. Staff said they hope to have a candidate selected and a contract executed by the August meeting or soon after the interview process.
