The Norborne Board of Aldermen approved several routine maintenance bids, an administrative permit and a temporary early closure of City Hall at its July 14 meeting.
Alderman Robert Brown moved and Alderman Julie McClure seconded approval of a $1,682.21 bid from Town and Country to replace lights at Heritage Hall. The motion carried.
Alderman Josh Elliott moved and Alderman Jackie Hall seconded approval of a $950 bid from Davidson Tree Care to trim and remove trees at Gazebo Park; the motion carried.
The board also approved a temporary early closure of City Hall at noon on Friday, Aug. 7 so employees could attend the Soybean Festival. Alderman Josh Elliott moved the closure; Alderman Julie McClure seconded and the motion carried.
Alderman Julie McClure moved to approve a planning-and-zoning permit for Staton/Evans; Alderman Jackie Hall seconded and the motion carried. The minutes do not provide details of the permit’s scope beyond the entry that the P&Z permit was approved.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved the July consent agenda and the Finance and Treasurer’s Report for June 2026.
