The Grayson County Fiscal Court moved through a slate of routine but consequential business during its meeting, approving transportation agreements, facility leases, contracts and a low bid for a Farmers Market building.
Among the actions, the court approved agreements and resolutions with the Kentucky Highway Transportation Cabinet to resurface JD Hudson Road, Pine Knob Road, Myrtle Grove Road and Sadler Lane using LARP funds and to repair and replace Pleasant View Bridge. The court also reauthorized annual leases with the East Grayson County Fire Department (the Big Clifty Community Center) and the Central Kentucky Community Action Council and approved a janitorial contract with Twins Cleaning and an EMS contract with Kevin Burris.
The court opened sealed bids for the new Farmers Market building (building package only), reviewed specifications and then approved the low bid from Todd Steel Buildings for $175,483.34 for the building package. Members discussed paneling, insulation and structural loads while comparing bids, and confirmed the accepted bid matched the required specifications before voting.
Officials approved a road department crushed-stone award to Kennyville for 6–10 rock at $18 per ton delivered and adopted tiered delivery rates ($5.50 up to 5 miles; $6 for 5–10 miles; $7 for 10–15 miles; $7.50 for 15–100 miles). The court also approved a series of standard financial motions — minutes, payment of bills, treasurer monthly/quarterly/annual settlements and jailer and sheriff settlements — by voice vote.
The meeting record includes a motion to set the small-purchase maximum to $60 as described in the transcript reference to 'house bill 3 92.' Members approved updating the limit as presented.
