Harwinton ZBA member resigns; alternate expresses interest in filling seat

The Harwinton Zoning Board of Appeals received a letter of resignation from regular member Peter Brazaitis (resigned July 13, 2026), the board recorded on July 15.

At the regular meeting that followed the public hearing, the board unanimously approved the minutes of April 22, 2026; the motion to approve was made by Alternate Member Pamela Root and seconded by Lynne Steincamp. Alternate Member Pamela Root later moved to adjourn; that motion also passed unanimously.

Alternate Member Lynne Steincamp said she is interested in filling Brazaitis' unexpired term through Nov. 6, 2028. Land Use Coordinator and ZBA clerk Polly Redmond said she will notify the Board of Selectmen about the vacancy and the alternate's expression of interest.
