Ethics commission enters executive session, returns and dismisses two complaints

The Town of Fairfield Ethics Commission met in special session July 13; the chair called the meeting to order at 6:06 p.m. and, after opening the floor to public comment (none were made), moved that the panel enter executive session "with the purpose of reviewing complaints numbered 3, 20, 29, 37, 47, 48 and 49." The chair asked for a second and a voice vote was taken to enter executive session.

The commission returned to open session at 7:09 p.m., the chair announced. In open session the chair moved to dismiss complaint number 47; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously on a voice vote. The chair then moved to dismiss complaint number 48; after a second that motion also passed unanimously. The chair announced that the next special meeting of the Ethics Commission will be Aug. 26 at 6:00 p.m.

The chair made a motion to adjourn, which was seconded and approved by voice vote; the meeting was recorded as adjourned at approximately 7:10 p.m. The proceedings included no public comments on the record and the commission did not announce any other actions on the remaining complaints listed for review.
