The chair informed commissioners and the public that the Christian County circuit court clerk, at the direction of Judge Johnson, opened a new account at Ozark Bank to hold funds for court case 26CT‑CCO‑00099 while the case proceeds.
The chair said the clerk, Barb Stillings, deposited two checks into the account; the amounts read in the meeting were $27,004.39 and $12,027.22. A commissioner asked whether the bank account had been opened following the county’s usual protocols or whether it had been opened without prior notice; commissioners heard that the auditor had been in the loop.
"I want this for public record," the chair said when describing the new court account and the deposits. (Chair)
After the brief discussion, a commissioner moved to approve the consent agenda as presented, the chair seconded and the motion passed by voice vote.
