Lee County board moves Amy Neuschel’s appointment to July agenda

Amy Neuschel, a four-and-a-half–year employee in the county assessment office, was introduced to the Lee County board and the board voted to place a resolution appointing her as county supervisor of assessments on the July County Board agenda.

Jeremy, a county staffer who introduced Neuschel, said she has worked in the assessment office for more than five years in the office downstairs and brings experience from previous roles. “She has been with the office downstairs for over 5 years and brings a wealth of experience,” Jeremy said. Neuschel told members she previously worked as a title searcher and examiner and said, “I look forward to growing and learning, and it’s nice to meet you all.”

Board members offered immediate endorsements. One member said Neuschel’s willingness to admit she is still learning was a strength, and another said he had already decided to endorse her. The chair then moved to place the resolution on the county board agenda; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.

The appointment will appear on the July County Board agenda for final action.
