The Fraser Board of Trustees met July 8, 2026, at Fraser Town Hall and online to interview three finalists for town manager and to discuss selection and negotiation in a closed executive session.
During the meeting the board confirmed interview times for Public Works Director Paul Johnson (3:00 p.m.), Patrick Davidson (4:00 p.m.) and Assistant Town Manager Sarah Catanzarite (5:15 p.m.). Trustees suspended the meeting for a dinner break at 6:25 p.m. and resumed at 7:00 p.m.
Later in the evening the board voted to move into an executive session “for a conference with the Town Attorney for the purpose of receiving legal advice on specific legal questions under C.R.S. Section 24-6-402(4)(b) and for discussion of a personnel matter under C.R.S. Section 24-6-402(4)(f)(I), regarding Town Manager selection and negotiation.” Jon Stavney and Town Attorney Kent Whitmer were included in the closed session. The motion to enter executive session carried 6-0; the board closed the executive session at 7:52 p.m., again by unanimous vote.
No public decision about the town manager appointment was announced after the executive session, and the meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m. The board’s action in executive session was described in the meeting minutes as discussion and negotiation; no formal vote or appointment was recorded in the public minutes.
