Orleans planning commission unanimously recommends Comprehensive Land Use Plan to city council

The Orleans Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously July 15 to recommend the Proposed Comprehensive Land Use Plan to the Orleans City Council for final consideration.

Chair Cheri Tungland opened a public hearing on the plan and asked whether any written or verbal comments had been received; she announced there were none and closed the hearing at 5:34 p.m. Immediately afterward, Commissioner Rosenberg moved to forward the plan to the City Council; Commissioner Radcliffe seconded the motion, which carried with all members voting AYE.

The action followed a short, procedural meeting that began at 5:33 p.m. and concluded at 5:35 p.m. Earlier in the meeting the commission approved the agenda on a motion by Commissioner Rosenberg, seconded by Commissioner Rock, also by unanimous vote. Commissioner Rock then moved to adjourn; Commissioner Rosenberg seconded and the commission adjourned at 5:35 p.m.

Staff recorded as present were Darren Bumgarner and P. Kay Cmelik, the secretary for the commission. No public commentators registered remarks during the hearing on the Comprehensive Land Use Plan. The commission’s recommendation now goes to the Orleans City Council for final consideration.
