Williamson County commissioners on July 14 voted to authorize the use of eminent domain for two parcels required for the proposed Corridor A2 roadway project.
Commissioner Bowles moved to authorize eminent domain to acquire 0.254 acres (Parcel 37) owned by UPL LLC and Jonah Enterprises LLC in Taylor, Texas; the motion was seconded and carried on a recorded vote with all present voting "yes." The court then authorized eminent domain to acquire 15.622 acres (Parcel 38) owned by AKA Properties of North Texas LP for the same project; that motion also passed with a recorded 4–0 vote.
The court recorded attendance and votes for the record. The authorizations direct county staff and counsel to proceed with right‑of‑way acquisition for the Corridor A2 project; follow‑up steps include valuation, negotiation and, if necessary, condemnation filings consistent with state law.
No public opposition to these parcels was recorded during the meeting and commissioners did not debate the acquisitions at length during the public session; the record shows the court proceeded with a roll call vote for both motions.
