ARB approves Cimarron Aesthetics signage for New Albany Exchange

On July 13 the New Albany Architectural Review Board approved a certificate of appropriateness allowing two hanging storefront signs and a small rear plaque for Cimarron Aesthetics at 110 East Main Street in the New Albany Exchange.

Staff described the proposal: two identical 19.5-inch-by-13-inch hanging signs using existing gooseneck lighting on the Main Street elevation, plus a 13-by-10-inch plaque for the rear entrance facing the parking lot. The signs use cream lettering on a purple background and a required black frame; both were found to meet sign-code requirements and to match existing signs within the Exchange.

Board members raised only minor graphic and proportion questions — particularly the plaque border proportion and the centering of lettering relative to the horse logo. The owner (speaker 19) confirmed the intent to center the lettering and said the rendering error would be corrected. The board approved the certificate of appropriateness on a recorded vote with all members voting in favor.

Next steps: staff will confirm final production artwork matches the agreed proportions and centering.
