The Turtle Lake City Commission on July 13 approved a $451,073.98 pay application for contractor Swanberg and a separate $15,544.35 pay application for Keller Paving tied to a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) street project.
Alexis Nienow of Moore Engineering reported the CDBG-funded project is nearly complete, with manhole rehabilitation still outstanding and signage and crosswalk striping scheduled for installation that week. Moore Engineering told commissioners the pay application from Swanberg covers concrete work, paving and the second lift of asphalt on Charles Street and work on Kundert Street but does not include the manhole rehab or final signage.
Commissioner Rick Schwalk moved to approve the Swanberg pay application; Commissioner Angelique Terranova Nakken seconded the motion. The roll call vote was unanimous and the motion passed. Commissioner Angelique Terranova Nakken moved to approve Keller Paving’s pay application for removals in the amount of $15,544.35; Commissioner Rick Schwalk seconded, and the roll call vote was unanimous.
Commissioners also noted that knock-down of curbs on Eggert at the Legion’s authorization will not be part of the city’s project. The commission did not record any additional conditions or changes to the project schedule in the minutes.
