Lumpkin council approves routine business, orders survey for sewage easement and OKs staff training

The Lumpkin City Council on Feb. 10 approved its meeting agenda, minutes from Jan. 13 and Jan. 21 and confirmed receipt of the January financial reports; each motion passed unanimously, recorded as 6–0.

Clerk Anne Holloway told the council that a landowner raised concerns that led the city engineer to request a property survey; Holloway said the results of that survey will be sent to the city attorney to establish an easement for sewage lines. Councilmember B. Cullefer requested that the council be provided with lists of delinquent property taxes and delinquent business licenses.

Council approved travel for Clerk Anne Holloway and M. Robinson to attend training in Macon April 6–9 (motion by B. Cullefer; second by F. Brown; 6–0). The council voted to exit executive session and the mayor stated no decisions were made while in executive session. Brief council remarks followed, including B. Mallory promoting a Pastors' Leadership Luncheon (March 21, 10 a.m.–noon) and M. House reporting that an individual known as Willie G said he could work three days a week at $20 per hour rather than $27.50; M. House advised staff to contact Willie G if needed. The council then moved to adjourn (motion by B. Cullefer; second by F. Brown; 6–0).

Motions recorded in the meeting packet appear to be procedural approvals and personnel scheduling; no ordinances, contracts or budget decisions were adopted during the session.
