Members of the Jericho Bicycle Pedestrian Connectivity Committee used their July 13 meeting to review follow-up items for trail infrastructure and small capital purchases.
The committee discussed trail signage work related to the JTF dam removal project; members said signage plans and JTF-related trail adjustments will be coordinated as the construction schedule becomes clearer. The crosswalk identification list was removed from active tasks until the fall.
Committee members reviewed proposed locations for bike racks, with Neils identified for placements at Jericho Town Square near the Country Store and at the Community Center, Cody tied to a location at Jericho Ale and Bean, and Brad listed for Town Hall. Installation dates were not set.
The group also discussed a potential kiosk tied to expanded trail connectivity; a kiosk location has not been chosen and installation is contingent on further trail planning.
Brad said he will contact the Ross Lane landowner about timing for any speed-control installation. Brad also will finish working with Paula to finalize funds for one bench, one picnic table and one bike repair stand the committee plans to place at committee-managed sites; the transcript does not specify funding sources or amounts.
The committee did not record any formal votes on these items; members left scheduling, procurement and landowner outreach as follow-up tasks.
