The Planning Advisory Committee elected Paul Conner as chair and Aaron DeNamur as vice chair during its July 8 meeting. Zachary Nersinger moved for the election; Chris Yuen seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Members then discussed appointments to the FY27 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) committee, which meets beginning in January to review proposed projects and make recommendations to the CCRPC Board. Paul Conner moved that Zachary Nersinger and Melinda Scott serve as PAC representatives to the UPWP committee; Aaron DeNamur seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The committee discussed Long Range Planning Committee (LRPC) representation. Paul Conner said he would continue serving if others did not express interest; Cassandra LaFayette said she was interested but requested more information. Staff agreed to distribute an email describing LRPC duties and return the appointment to the PAC next month.
Other business items included a request for members to e-mail staff about upcoming municipal Act 250 and Section 248 projects, announcement of the ECOS Plan final hearing with the Land Use Review Board on July 22, 2026 at 1 p.m., and an exploration of a research study on deed restrictions in growth areas. A. Pitts left the meeting at 2:47 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 3:59 p.m.
