SEAGO presents CDBG options; Pima priorities list includes sewer, parks, library and a new fire station

William Osbourne of SEAGO presented Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding options at a public hearing in Pima on July 14 and stated the town will be a recipient of CDBG funds for 2027.

Osbourne read a public-input list of potential uses submitted for CDBG consideration: a sewer lift station; upgrades to the park by the pool including equipment and area improvements; construction of a new library building; a new fire station; purchase of a fire truck; and road repairs at 400 South and 100 West including sidewalks and drainage.

Mayor Brian Paull opened the hearing at 7:15 p.m.; there was no public comment and the mayor closed the CDBG hearing at 8:07 p.m., according to the meeting minutes. The SEAGO presentation provided the basis for town staff to incorporate these community priorities into the CDBG application process.
