Zoning board approves forwarding Adam Bludd’s application to select board

The New Boston Zoning Board voted to approve forwarding the application of Adam Bludd to the select board for final appointment as a zoning-board member.

Bludd introduced himself to the board, saying he has lived in New Boston since 2019 and that he works on projects ranging "from 20,000 square feet to 1,000,000 square feet" for universities and institutional clients along the East Coast. He told members he was interested in engaging more with the community and serving at a smaller-town scale than his usual municipal work.

Board members asked brief questions about availability and meeting procedures; the chair explained that approved members receive access to files (noting a SharePoint resource) and that the Community Development staff at the fire station assists with building- and fire-inspection coordination. A motion to approve Bludd’s application was seconded and approved by voice vote; the chair said Bludd will be notified of the select board meeting schedule and asked to attend to introduce himself there as well.

Members reiterated quorum and attendance expectations and provided guidance on reviewing ordinances and RSA materials in advance. Bludd said he was "excited to participate" and thanked the board for the opportunity.
