Council updates: community events, condolences and announcements

After business concluded, council members presented routine reports and announcements. The chair offered condolences to Council Member Taylor on the passing of Taylor’s father. Council members highlighted recent and upcoming events — including a veterans family fishing event, Coffee with the Mayors, Frosty Friday park programs, the Texas FFA convention and the opening of a new food bank — and encouraged public participation in summer activities. The council then moved to adjourn; the meeting was adjourned at 7:09 p.m.
