Baxter council approves Pay Application No. 2 for Rippey Intersection, Chichaqua Trail project

Baxter — The City Council on July 13 approved Pay Application No. 2 for the Rippey Intersection and Chichaqua Trail Improvements project, while a potential change order remained under review.

Nichole Sungren of MSA Professional Services presented Pay Application No. 2 for council review and said a possible change order associated with the work is still being negotiated and would be presented at a future meeting once terms are agreed. Councilmember Milligan moved to approve Pay Application No. 2; Smith seconded and the motion passed with all five councilmembers voting aye.

Council previously amended the meeting agenda to include the pay application for consideration. Staff and engineers provided updates on paving operations and noted potential paving concerns that remain under review. The council approved the payment but did not act on any change order at the July 13 meeting.
