Lancaster County Board approves minutes, claims and schedules July 21 public hearings

The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners opened its July 14 meeting with routine business, approving the minutes from July 7 and claims processed through July 10, 2026, including one claim beyond the 90-day period under Neb. Rev. Stat. §23-135. Motions carried by recorded votes with one commissioner absent.

The Board approved a special event permit for a coast-to-coast relay organized by the American Discovery Trail Society, scheduled for Sept. 20, 2026, after the applicant confirmed compliance with permit requirements. The agenda also set multiple public hearings for the Board’s July 21 meeting, including a text amendment to County zoning regulations and proposed amendments to the Lincoln-Lancaster County Air Pollution Control Program Regulations and Standards. No members of the public appeared for the public comment period. The Board adjourned at 9:24 a.m.
