Shelburne appoints representatives to Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission committees

During its July 14 meeting, the Shelburne Selectboard approved multiple appointments to Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) committees for two‑year terms beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2028. The appointments included Jeff Carr to the CCRPC Board of Representatives; Casey Smith to the Transportation Advisory Committee with Aaron DeNamur named as an alternate; and Shayne Geiger to the Clean Water Advisory Committee with Rachel Tobler as an alternate.

Selectboard member Mike Ashooh made the motion, Chunka Mui seconded, and the motion passed 4-0. Mui spoke about the importance of resident engagement in regional planning efforts. Town staff noted that some continuing volunteer roles needed reappointment and that new staff appointments were included in the slate.
