Selectmen appoint Joseph Estephan to WPCA; several reappointments approved

The Board of Selectmen appointed Joseph Estephan to the Water Pollution Control Authority to fill the position vacated by Jim Weed. The motion to appoint Estephan was made by Selectman Peter Betkoski and seconded by Selectman Michael Krenesky and passed unanimously.

The board accepted, with regret, the resignation of Parks and Recreation Commissioner Donald Ferretti and considered interest letters from Laura DeGeorge and Peter Monti. The board reappointed Laura DeGeorge and Peter Monti to the Parks and Recreation Commission and reappointed Art Daigle as Municipal Agent for the Elderly and as Senior Center Director.

Selectman Gerard Smith moved to reappoint Selectman Michael Krenesky as Town Historian; Peter Betkoski seconded. The motion carried with two ayes and one abstention (the minutes record the tally but do not specify the member who abstained).
