School board enters non-public session under RSA 91-A:2 to discuss legal matters

At 9:05 a.m. on Jan. 31, 2026, the Governor Wentworth Regional School Board voted to enter a non-public session under RSA 91-A:2, I(a) for the purpose of discussing legal matters.

Board member Nate Williams made the motion, and board member Kirsten Burke seconded. The minutes record the roll-call vote at that time: Kirsten Burke, Kayla Hewitt, Dr. James Manning, Dr. Elizabeth Sheckler, Danielle Van Dusen, Nate Williams and Chair Brodie Deshaies voted yes. Tom Bickford and Mary Schillereff had not yet arrived at 9:07 a.m. and therefore were not recorded on that roll call.

The minutes state that the non-public session concluded at 9:48 a.m., when Dr. Sheckler moved to end the non-public session and Mr. Williams seconded; the vote is recorded as unanimous in favor. The board then recessed and relocated to the Kingswood Arts Center auditorium for the deliberative session.
