Developer to present 'Lindstrom Landing' plan to council; EDA flags public-access elements

The EDA received a development update on Lindstrom Landing, the redevelopment proposal for the former bank well site. Dan told the board the developer has nearly completed a GRAMA application that will be presented to city council on Thursday and that Phil, the property owner, will attend to describe plans.

Dan said the proposed project is a mixed-use concept that could include hospitality (hotel), restaurant and commercial space along with some housing. He also said the developer is exploring public-access ideas including a small pocket park and connections to the trail system. “Phil will be in here on Thursday to present to the council on what they wanna do for that site,” Dan said.

Staff also noted there is a pending application for a roughly 9,000-square-foot commercial building on a separate site in the area; staff continue to work with that developer on outstanding materials required for review.

Next steps: the EDA put the item on its radar and Dan said staff will follow council feedback after Thursday’s meeting. No formal EDA action was taken; staff will continue to process the application and coordinate the developer’s presentation to council.
