The Franklin County Board of Supervisors approved several infrastructure and maintenance items during its July 14 session.
By motion of Supervisor McVicker, seconded by Supervisor Lukensmeyer, the Board approved Pay Application #4 from Carl A. Nelson for the Courthouse electrical upgrade project. The meeting record documents approval but does not specify a dollar amount for the pay application.
The Board approved a request by Roger Farm to perform work within Franklin County highway right of way to clean the south ditch along 140th Street at the intersection of Killdeer and 140th Street, contingent on the Auditor's office receiving a Drainage District Permit Application. The approval is conditional on submission of the required drainage permit.
The Board also approved a Franklin County Utility Permit for Dumont Telephone Company to plow and bore fiber optic cable along streets in Bradford and on county roads between 50th and 95th Streets and from Jonquil Ave. to Quail Ave.; the motion carried with all ayes.
The Board acknowledged routine reports—the Veterans Quarterly Report for April–June 2026, the Sheriff's Monthly Report for June 2026, and the Auditor's quarterly report for April–June 2026—and adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
