Adams County Board approves liquor license, pay increase and civil service appointment

Chris Standley, chairperson of the Adams County Board of Supervisors, presided over a July 6, 2026 meeting in which supervisors approved several routine agenda items by unanimous vote.

The board first approved the meeting agenda and the minutes of the June 29 meeting after a motion by Supervisor Scott Akin and a second by Supervisor Bobbi Maynes. All supervisors voted aye.

Supervisor Leland Shipley moved, and Supervisor Tony Hardisty seconded, approval of liquor license LG0006376 for Happy Hollow County Club; the motion carried with all supervisors voting aye.

Supervisor Scott Akin moved, and Supervisor Leland Shipley seconded, approval of pay set at $22.00 per hour for County Attorney employee Faythe Goodman. The board voted unanimously to approve the pay rate.

Supervisor Bobbi Maynes moved, and Supervisor Tony Hardisty seconded, approval of County Attorney Knuth's appointment of Alyssa Cooper to the Civil Service Commission; the motion passed with all supervisors voting aye.

Supervisor Tony Hardisty moved, and Supervisor Scott Akin seconded, to adjourn at 10:28 AM; the motion carried. The meeting record was attested by Chairperson Standley and Auditor Betsy Stormer.
