DUI Task Force approves $2,000 for ACI Camp H2O

The Anaconda Deer Lodge County DUI Task Force voted unanimously July 9 to contribute $2,000 to ACI’s Camp H2O, a prevention program serving youth, the task force recorded in its meeting minutes.

Commissioner Mike Beausoleil moved to fund the camp; Lauren Bolten seconded the motion and the vote passed unanimously. The minutes list those present and record the motion as approved.

The action followed routine reports earlier in the meeting: Bolten reported a current balance of $21,377.77, and the task force accepted the financial report and the MIP/DUI report by unanimous votes. Officer Marc Arment noted four DUIs since the last meeting; Trooper George Nassour (Montana Highway Patrol) estimated four to six DUIs handled by MHP since the previous meeting and said he did not have an exact number available.

The contribution to Camp H2O was recorded as a formal motion in the draft minutes. The task force set its next meeting for Aug. 20, 2026.
