House Appropriations Committee advances package of Senate bills to the House floor

The House Appropriations Committee voted to advance a package of Senate bills to the House floor after a roll call that produced no negative votes, Chairman Harris said.

The package bundled a dozen measures. Executive Director (name not specified) summarized the bills for the committee, saying, “We have Senate Bill 45, which increases the grading and transfers several prostitution related offenses.” The executive director also described Senate Bill 130, which “requires a funeral director to notify the county director of veterans affairs of the death of a veteran and provide the information to the family,” and Senate Bill 146, which “amends the fiscal code with substantive language pertaining to appropriations and General Appropriation Act of 2026 and other provisions, implementing the 2026–27 budget.” The executive director listed additional bills on licensing, solar facility bonding and other subjects.
